Sëm-isè Dêtîkè (/θèˈkova/ /ˈisè/ [personal] [peninsula]) is a subtropical Town located in the Rëfiithe Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Sëm-isè Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Sëm-isè Dêtîkè was founded by Zëîv Trepî Trtconka, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 21°C (69°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a pleasant 24°C (75°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 19°C (66°F). Sëm-isè Dêtîkè receives an average of 252 cm/y (99 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Sëm-isè Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 5918 m (19416 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè was founded durring the late 14th century in fall of the year 1275, by Zëîv Trepî Trtconka. The establishment of Sëm-isè Dêtîkè suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Sëm-isè Dêtîkè which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Sëm-isè Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè is buildings folow an organic layout of broad packed earth streets whihch gives the town a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The town is protected by a well-crafted cobblestone fence tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The frontieer-style defences has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

A look around Sëm-isè Dêtîkè seems to be home to a quite vibrant and boisterous community. Everywhere one looks they can see people going out their daily business with a smile and a spring in their step. Children play loudly in the streets, causing untold havoc as youth are want and allowed to do. On second glance, that chaos continues into adulthood. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Civic Infrastructure

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Sëm-isè Dêtîkè.

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè has a government-funded child care program, overseen by the local Department of Nursemaids, which is responsible for providing childcare to working-class citizens according to local ordinances.

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè has a Department of Firefighters, which is responsible for organizing fire fighting efforts during a fire and enforcing local ordinances relating to fire safety.

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Sëm-isè Dêtîkè's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Sëm-isè Dêtîkè's grid is powered by a boiler and turbine based power plant.

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè's old civil lighting system was converted to Galvanic Lamps recently, and expanded to provide nighttime illumination to all city streets.

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.

In Sëm-isè Dêtîkè sometimes, near one of the seasonal solstices, the sun appears to split into three and it rains from a clear sky for several hours.

The Yothga near Sëm-isè Dêtîkè are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Sëm-isè Dêtîkè's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves line dance to channel Necromancy energies of tier 1 via oath swearing.

Different factions of the community might be trying to grasp at the remaining dregs of wealth, others might try to restart the failed industry, and some might look for a new livelihood. Any group or entity thought responsible for the collapse is likely to be treated very harshly, and some locals might find profit in shifting the blame to their enemies.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century a local hero by the name of killed a tyrannical who had controlled Sëm-isè Dêtîkè for years. A small order of knights was founded in 's honor, and bears his name to this day.
